The Development Of Soluble Fiber

Jan 25, 2022

Refractory fiber first appeared in 1941, and was put into industrial production in the 1950s. In the 1960s, a variety of products were developed and used as industrial kiln wall linings. In 1973, after the emergence of the energy crisis, refractory fibers developed rapidly worldwide, and the fiber output continued to increase. While increasing fiber output, in recent years, more attention has been paid to the development of new varieties, such as the introduction of CaO, MgO, B, 0, and ZrO, etc. into traditional fiber components. Alkaline earth silicate fibers with CaO, MgO, and SiO as the main components are soluble fibers. Bio-soluble refractory fiber has a certain solubility in human body fluids, reduces the damage to human health, and can be used continuously at higher temperatures. In the beginning, the use temperature of soluble fiber was low. In order to improve its heat resistance, the method of introducing ZrO, improved the heat resistance of soluble fiber.
