The ceramic fiber module is an inorganic product. It is essentially ceramic fiber cotton, which is needled into a blanket and then compressed. It is a Class A non-combustible material, that is, it will not catch fire, smoke or burn when subjected to flame or high temperature. Therefore, the ceramic fiber module will not burn, even if it burns for a short time.
The ceramic fiber module should be strictly in accordance with the operating temperature of the kiln, adhering to the principle of only being high but not low, adding a certain margin to the furnace temperature, and selecting materials reasonably. Therefore, the ceramic fiber module needs to pay attention to the following points when using it:
1. Waterproof and moisture-proof: Although it is said that "real gold is not afraid of fire", ceramic fiber materials are extremely afraid of water. Once it is eroded by moisture, the insulation performance will be greatly reduced;
2. Prevent mechanical impact: Because the internal structure of ceramic fiber material is a flexible material made of interwoven fibers, its strength is insufficient, and the surface of the fiber is easily damaged by bumping;
3. Prevent wind peeling: high wind speed kiln is easy to take away the fibers on the surface, even if the surface is sprayed with curing agent, it cannot resist long-term airflow erosion.
4. The design size of the furnace lining should be precise: before the furnace lining is installed, a professional thermal insulation team must formulate a plan and issue a module installation drawing. During construction, the wires shall be laid out strictly according to the dimensions marked on the drawings, and the anchor nails shall be welded. Try to avoid the appearance of gaps, any small gaps may determine the service life of the kiln.
5. Maintenance is very important: after the ceramic fiber furnace lining is put into use, it is necessary to spray the curing agent on the surface regularly, replace the damaged module in time, and repair the furnace lining to prolong the service life of the furnace lining.
