01 Overview of glass tempering furnace
Glass tempering furnace is also known as glass tempering equipment, glass tempering unit, tempering furnace, tempering equipment, tempering unit, etc. There are intermittent and continuous, hanging and horizontal, electric heating and gas heating.
To do glass tempering furnace insulation, first understand the working principle of glass tempering furnace. Glass tempering treatment usually adopts physical methods, heating the glass to near the softening point (650℃), blowing and quenching, forming a compressive stress layer on the glass surface and a tensile stress layer inside; when the glass is subjected to external force, the compressive stress layer can Part of the tensile stress is offset to avoid glass breakage, so as to achieve the purpose of improving the strength of the glass.
Generally, ordinary flat glass is processed, and its length can be roughly divided into 4 meters and 10 meters according to the length and width of the processed glass.
The temperature inside the glass tempering furnace is 800℃. Using resistance wire heating.
02 Insulation structure of glass tempering furnace
For glass heated to the melting point for heat treatment, in order to prevent the glass from being polluted, ceramic fiber blankets or modules are not used for heat preservation.
The structure used in the current glass tempering furnace lining is generally that the furnace top, furnace wall and furnace bottom are layered with standard Aladdin ceramic fiber board structure, and the total insulation thickness is 250mm.
03 Technical advantages
During the heating process, there is a temperature difference between the edge and the middle of the furnace, resulting in uneven stress. There is currently no way to completely avoid stress spots, but well-designed tempering equipment can minimize the visibility of stress spots. Ceramic fiber board, light weight, easy installation, low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation effect, minimize the visibility of stress spots, and improve the qualified rate of tempered glass products.
