What Is The Chemical Composition Of Ceramic Fiber Paper

Oct 24, 2025

The chemical composition of ceramic fiber paper mainly includes the following:

1. Al₂O₃ (aluminum oxide): It is one of the main components of ceramic fiber paper, which helps to improve the fire resistance and high temperature stability of the material.

2. SiO₂ (silicon dioxide): It is also an important component of ceramic fiber paper and has a positive effect on the hardness and corrosion resistance of the material.

In addition, depending on the different types and uses of ceramic fiber paper, it may also contain the following components:

ZrO₂ (zirconium dioxide): In certain specific types of ceramic fiber paper, such as zirconium-containing ceramic fiber paper, the content of zirconium dioxide will be relatively high to further improve the fire resistance and thermal shock resistance of the material.

In addition to the above main components, ceramic fiber paper may also contain a small amount of other oxides, such as Fe₂O₃ (iron trioxide), Na₂O (sodium oxide), K₂O (potassium oxide), MgO (magnesium oxide) and other impurities. The content of these impurities is usually low and has limited impact on the overall performance of ceramic fiber paper, but in some high-end applications, the content of these impurities needs to be strictly controlled to ensure the purity and performance of the material.
