Description
Product Introduction
High Performance Mullite Insulation Board is a high-performance thermal insulation material designed for extreme temperature environments. It is manufactured from high-purity alumina (Al₂O₃) and silica (SiO₂) through advanced wet forming, vacuum dehydration, and sintering processes. The board's structure is composed of uniformly distributed polycrystalline mullite crystals, ensuring excellent strength, low thermal conductivity, and superior thermal stability.
High Performance Mullite Insulation Board can withstand continuous use at temperatures up to 1600°C, offering exceptional resistance to thermal shock, chemical corrosion, and mechanical stress. It is lightweight yet durable, making it easy to cut and install in complex furnace structures.
High Performance Mullite Insulation Boards are widely used as insulation and lining materials in industrial furnaces, laboratory kilns, heat treatment equipment, glass and petrochemical furnaces, and aerospace thermal protection systems. They provide reliable performance in energy-saving and heat-resistant applications where long-term stability and efficiency are essential.

Thermal Stability of Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber
Polycrystalline mullite fiber is an advanced refractory insulation material known for its excellent thermal stability, high temperature resistance, and mechanical strength. As a new generation of ultra-lightweight high-temperature fibers, it represents a major advancement in the Al₂O₃-SiO₂ ceramic fiber family.
With an operating temperature of 1500°C, polycrystalline mullite fiber offers 200–400°C higher heat resistance compared to conventional glassy ceramic fibers. Its thermal stability and resistance to thermal shock are unmatched by any other dense or lightweight refractory material.
These fibers are composed of a porous network of interwoven fibers, each 2–5 μm in diameter, which provides excellent flexibility and resistance to structural stress during rapid heating and cooling cycles. Even under extreme temperature fluctuations, the material maintains its integrity-it does not crack, spall, or deform after repeated thermal cycling.
Because polycrystalline mullite fiber products are naturally soft, flexible, and porous, the thermal expansion of individual fibers is internally absorbed, eliminating the need for expansion joints or special furnace drying procedures. As a result, furnaces lined with polycrystalline mullite fiber exhibit lighter structures, reduced steel consumption, and improved long-term reliability.
In summary, polycrystalline mullite fiber delivers outstanding thermal stability, durability, and energy efficiency, making it an ideal choice for industrial furnaces, kilns, and high-temperature insulation systems.
