The tunnel kiln is a kiln similar to a tunnel built with refractory materials, thermal insulation materials and building materials. It is equipped with kiln cars and other vehicles. It is a modern continuous firing thermal equipment.
The tunnel kiln insulation scheme can be said to have gone through ups and downs, and is constantly looking for suitable structures in overthrow and reconstruction.
Twenty years ago, the insulation of tunnel kilns was still made of refractory bricks, refractory cement precast blocks or monolithic pouring structures.

In the past 10 years, tunnel kilns have begun to try flat roofing. At the beginning, refractory cement prefabricated blocks and refractory concrete were used to cast flat roofs. However, due to the poor thermal shock resistance of heavy materials, the service life is generally only about 2 years, which increases the operating cost of tunnel kilns.
The use of refractory ceramic fiber modules as the furnace lining can not only reduce the weight of the kiln body and the thermal expansion and contraction stress of the kiln body, but also improve its thermal insulation performance. Because of its low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation effect, and significant energy saving effect (compared to traditional Refractory materials can save energy more than 35%). The volume density is small (the bulk density is 220 kg/m3), the heat storage is low, and the furnace is heated and cooled quickly, which effectively improves the heat utilization rate of the furnace.
