SUNTHERM 1600C Polycrystalline Alumina Fiber Board
Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber (PMF) is a new ultra-lightweight high-temperature refractory fiber, part of the Al₂O₃-SiO₂ ceramic fiber family. It withstands up to 1600°C, 200–400°C higher than glass fibers. Applications: insulation for high-temperature industrial kilns, ceramic kilns, heating furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, hot-face linings, flame barriers, kiln doors, kiln cars, expansion joints, and glass furnaces.
Description
Product Description:
SUNTHERM 1600C Polycrystalline Alumina Fiber Board is a high-performance refractory insulation board engineered through an advanced wet forming process. It is produced using premium 1600-grade polycrystalline alumina fiber bulk, combined with precisely formulated inorganic and organic binders to ensure exceptional structural integrity and uniformity.
Designed for extreme thermal environments, SUNTHERM 1600C Polycrystalline Alumina Fiber Board exhibits outstanding thermal stability at sustained very high operating temperatures up to 1600°C (2912°F). Its low thermal conductivity and superior insulating capability significantly reduce energy consumption, minimize heat loss, and shorten process cycling times-delivering tangible reductions in operating costs.
Beyond energy efficiency, SUNTHERM 1600C Polycrystalline Alumina Fiber Board serves as a robust protective barrier for refractory surfaces, effectively shielding them from damaging thermal shock during rapid heating and cooling cycles. Additionally, its dense yet permeable fiber matrix provides excellent resistance to chemical attack in aggressive industrial atmospheres, extending the service life of critical furnace components. Ideal for use in high-temperature kilns, furnaces, incinerators, and petrochemical heaters, SUNTHERM 1600C combines durability, insulation performance, and thermal protection in one advanced ceramic fiber solution.
Product Features:
Ultra-high temperature resistance: Long-term operating temperature up to 1450℃, with even higher short-term temperature resistance, suitable for ultra-high temperature conditions.
Low thermal conductivity and energy saving: The polycrystalline fiber microporous structure effectively inhibits heat conduction, resulting in low thermal conductivity, minimal heat loss, and significant energy savings.
High chemical purity: Al₂O₃ content ≥95%, extremely low impurity and slag content, no volatile matter precipitation at high temperatures, and no pollution to the furnace atmosphere.
Excellent thermal stability: Good thermal shock resistance, stable structure at high temperatures, and less prone to grain coarsening or phase transformation.
Good mechanical strength: High-temperature sintering, high compressive and flexural strength, not easily broken or slag-shedding, ensuring high reliability in installation and use.
High dimensional accuracy: Mold-formed, smooth surface, uniform thickness, easy to cut, drill, and process irregular shapes, and convenient installation.
Corrosion resistance: Except for hydrofluoric acid and strong alkalis, it has good resistance to most acid and alkali media and reducing atmospheres.
Low heat capacity: Low heat capacity, supports rapid heating and cooling, helping to improve production efficiency and process flexibility.
Product Applications:
Fine Ceramics & Electronics: Linings for ceramic sintering furnaces, pusher kilns, and roller kilns; semiconductor diffusion furnaces and heat treatment furnaces for electronic components; sintering equipment for precision ceramic devices such as MLCCs and LTCCs.
New Energy Batteries: Calcination furnaces for lithium-ion battery positive and negative electrode materials (such as lithium iron phosphate and ternary materials); high-temperature sintering equipment for solid electrolytes.
Metal Heat Treatment: Working linings and insulation layers for high-temperature vacuum furnaces, hydrogen furnaces, high-temperature alloy melting furnaces, and forging heating furnaces.
Petrochemicals: Back linings, insulation, and refractory linings for high-temperature reactors such as cracking furnaces, conversion furnaces, and gasification furnaces.
Aerospace & Military: High-temperature alloy precision casting, thermal insulation components for thermal protection systems, and insulation layers for rocket engine test benches.
Glass & Building Materials: Insulation linings for glass melting furnaces, special glass forming equipment, and sintering furnaces for ceramic fiber products.
Scientific Research & Experimentation: High-temperature experimental furnaces, material sintering and testing equipment, and ultra-high temperature thermal experimental devices.
