1. Backing Insulation Layer: Serving as a permanent insulation layer behind heavy furnace linings such as refractory bricks or castables, it significantly reduces the temperature of the furnace exterior wall and minimizes heat loss.

• Hot Face Lining: In medium- and low-temperature kilns (such as heat treatment furnaces, ladle baking ovens, and aluminum alloy melting furnaces), it can be directly used as the working face lining, reducing furnace weight and enabling rapid heating and cooling.

3. Sealing material for expansion joints and connections

• Due to its compressibility, it is often cut into specific shapes and filled in the expansion joints of kiln masonry or metal structures to absorb thermal expansion while maintaining a seal and insulation.

 

4. Fireproof and fire-resistant partitions

• Used as fireproof partitions in industrial buildings, fireproof door core materials, fire-resistant barriers for cable channels, etc., effectively blocking flames and high temperatures in a fire.

 

5. Permanent Backing for Castables

• Laying it before casting refractory castables can serve as both a formwork and a permanently retained insulation layer, simplifying construction.

 

6. Protection in Special High-Temperature Environments

• As a component of spacecraft thermal protection systems or for internal insulation of high-temperature testing equipment.
