Heat Insulation Rock Wool Ceilings are made from natural mineral wool such as basalt and dolomite. The natural rock is melted into a melt in the cupola through a high temperature of about 1500°C. A mineral that occurs in abundance on Earth, such as volcanic rock, typically basalt or dolomite. In addition to raw materials, recycled rock wool and slag from the metal industry can also be added to the process. Heat Insulation Rock Wool Ceilings combine mechanical resistance with good thermal performance, fire safety and high temperature adaptability. Glass wool and asbestos are made of mineral fibers and are therefore often referred to as "mineral wool". Mineral wool is a general term for fibrous materials formed by spinning or drawing molten minerals. Asbestos is the product of furnaces of molten rock at temperatures around 1600°C through which air currents or water vapor are blown. More advanced production techniques are based on spinning molten rock in a high-speed rotating head, a bit like the process of producing cotton candy.
Uses of asbestos include structural insulation, pipe insulation, filtration, sound insulation, hydroponic growing media, and more. Asbestos is a versatile material used to insulate walls, roofs and floors. During asbestos installation, it should always be kept dry, as an increase in moisture content can lead to a significant increase in thermal conductivity.
