The Main Raw Material Of High Alumina Refractory Fiber

May 19, 2021

Industrial alumina and high-purity silica are used as the main raw materials, mixed according to a certain proportion of ingredients, and then formed into agglomerates. After lightly burned, they are melted in an electric arc furnace or mixed by a dry method and then melted in a resistance furnace, using a centrifugal spinning method or compressed air The injection method makes the melt flow into fiber, and the raw cotton of high-alumina refractory fiber is obtained. Raw cotton can be used directly or further processed into various refractory felts, blankets, boards and other products.

The high aluminum fiber produced by the above process has a diameter of 2-6μm and a length of 20-100mm. The slag ball content in raw cotton without slag removal treatment is less than 10%, the heating wire shrinkage is less than 2% (1200℃, 6h), or less than 3% (1400℃, 6h), and the thermal conductivity is 0.13W/(m·K) (The hot surface temperature is 1200℃), the refractoriness is greater than 1790℃.
