SUNTHERM ALWOOL polycrystalline alumina fiber needle-punched blanket is manufactured from polycrystalline alumina fibers produced via the "sol-gel" process and processed through an advanced needle-punching technique. The polycrystalline alumina fibers, composed of alumina and silica, exhibit a dense internal structure and stable crystalline phases. The needle-punching process significantly enhances fiber interlocking, endowing the blanket with outstanding tensile strength, excellent thermal stability under high temperatures, strong resistance to chemical erosion, low thermal shrinkage, low thermal conductivity, and minimal slag ball content. With a long-term service temperature of up to 1600°C, the product demonstrates superior dimensional stability and exceptional thermal insulation performance under extreme high-temperature conditions, making it suitable for prolonged use in demanding environments.
