Industrial Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber Blanket

Industrial polycrystalline mullite fiber blanket is manufactured through a specially enhanced needling process, free from any additives or extra ingredients. This advanced technique greatly improves fiber interweaving, enhances resistance to delamination, and delivers excellent tensile strength while preserving flexibility. Its straightforward installation method greatly speeds up furnace lining construction. The blanket also offers strong resistance to chemical corrosion, with the exception of hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and strong alkalis.

Description

Product Introduction

Industrial polycrystalline mullite fiber blanket is a high-performance refractory fiber product in the form of mullite crystals. The main raw material is produced through a chemical "colloidal process" to create a high-purity mother liquor, which is then fiberized by blowing or spinning to produce embryonic wool. This fiber undergoes multiple sophisticated processes, including high-temperature sintering. Industrial polycrystalline mullite fiber blanket exhibits excellent high-temperature resistance, thermal stability, and chemical stability, allowing for long-term use at temperatures of 1250°C to 1500°C, while maintaining excellent structural strength and thermal insulation properties even under high-temperature conditions. This product is widely used in the thermal insulation and energy-saving applications of high-temperature equipment in industries such as metallurgy, petrochemicals, power generation, ceramics, and glass. It is an environmentally friendly, lightweight, and highly efficient refractory and thermal insulation material.

Polycrystalline Mullite High-temperature Fiber Installation Standards

Polycrystalline mullite high-temperature fiber is a new refractory material with a wide range of applications. However, polycrystalline mullite fiber is relatively lightweight and requires more complex installation procedures.

For batch furnaces operating at temperatures up to 1250°C (1250°F), if the furnace body is a brickwork structure, the surface to which the polycrystalline mullite fiber is applied must be cleaned and decontaminated before applying. Dust and dirt must not be allowed.

For batch furnaces operating at temperatures up to 1250°C (1250°F), if the furnace body is an all-fiber structure, the surface to which the polycrystalline mullite fiber is applied must be smoothed with a tool before applying. Fiber fragments and broken fibers must not be present. For industrial furnaces operating between 1250°C and 1380°C, if the furnace body is cast and rammed integrally, the furnace body surface must be roughened after the formwork is removed. V-shaped grooves, 3-5mm wide and 3-5mm deep, should be created in both the vertical and horizontal directions at intervals of 80-150mm. The surface should then be cleaned with compressed air before applying the polycrystalline mullite fiber.

For industrial furnaces operating between 1250°C and 1380°C, if the furnace body is brick-lined, the surface must be roughened to create 300-400 rough spots per square meter before applying the fiber. Finally, the treated surface must be cleaned with compressed air before applying the polycrystalline mullite fiber.

In addition to all-fiber linings, the burner bricks must also have a raised platform structure. Otherwise, a 100mm area around the burner brick opening will be left unused during fiber application. Before the fiber is pasted on various industrial furnaces, the average temperature inside the furnace must be between 10 and 40 degrees Celsius, otherwise construction is not allowed.
