Durable Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber Blanket
Binder-free and needled for superior strength and flexibility. Resists delamination, installs quickly, and withstands most chemicals (except hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and strong alkalis). Ideal for high-temperature furnace linings.
Description
Product Introduction
Durable Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber Blanket represents a premium category of refractory fiber materials, distinguished by its crystalline mullite structure. Its production begins with a meticulously controlled chemical colloidal process, through which a high-purity mother liquor is formulated. This precursor solution is subsequently transformed into fibrous embryonic wool via advanced blowing or spinning techniques, followed by a series of refined processing steps, including high-temperature sintering, to achieve the final product's superior crystalline morphology.
Durable Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber Blanket exhibits outstanding resistance to elevated temperatures, maintaining exceptional thermal stability and chemical inertness even under extreme operating conditions. It is rated for prolonged service across a broad temperature range of 1250°C to 1500°C, during which it consistently preserves its structural integrity and delivers reliable thermal insulation performance. These properties make it an indispensable solution for thermal management in demanding industrial environments.
Given its robust performance characteristics, Durable Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber Blanket finds extensive application in the insulation and energy-saving systems of high-temperature equipment across a diverse array of sectors, including metallurgy, petrochemical processing, power generation, ceramics manufacturing, and glass production. Beyond its technical merits, the blanket is also recognized for its environmental compatibility, lightweight nature, and outstanding energy efficiency, positioning it as a highly effective and sustainable choice for modern refractory and thermal insulation needs.

Polycrystalline Mullite High-temperature Fiber Installation Standards
Polycrystalline mullite high-temperature fiber is a new refractory material with a wide range of applications. However, polycrystalline mullite fiber is relatively lightweight and requires more complex installation procedures.
For batch furnaces operating at temperatures up to 1250°C (1250°F), if the furnace body is a brickwork structure, the surface to which the polycrystalline mullite fiber is applied must be cleaned and decontaminated before applying. Dust and dirt must not be allowed.
For batch furnaces operating at temperatures up to 1250°C (1250°F), if the furnace body is an all-fiber structure, the surface to which the polycrystalline mullite fiber is applied must be smoothed with a tool before applying. Fiber fragments and broken fibers must not be present. For industrial furnaces operating between 1250°C and 1380°C, if the furnace body is cast and rammed integrally, the furnace body surface must be roughened after the formwork is removed. V-shaped grooves, 3-5mm wide and 3-5mm deep, should be created in both the vertical and horizontal directions at intervals of 80-150mm. The surface should then be cleaned with compressed air before applying the polycrystalline mullite fiber.
For industrial furnaces operating between 1250°C and 1380°C, if the furnace body is brick-lined, the surface must be roughened to create 300-400 rough spots per square meter before applying the fiber. Finally, the treated surface must be cleaned with compressed air before applying the polycrystalline mullite fiber.
In addition to all-fiber linings, the burner bricks must also have a raised platform structure. Otherwise, a 100mm area around the burner brick opening will be left unused during fiber application. Before the fiber is pasted on various industrial furnaces, the average temperature inside the furnace must be between 10 and 40 degrees Celsius, otherwise construction is not allowed.
