Q2: One of the logs came with a little piece broken off exposing the center material. if it is fine to use?

A2: Yeah, it's all fiber. It won't catch fire.

Q3:How many BTU’s ?

A3：I have them in a fireplace. I keep the heat rather low. Where the flames hit the logs, they do turn black. Make sure to measure the length of your grate vs the logs, so they fit properly.

Q4:Would I be able to use these in a large tent setting inside a secure fire pit?

This set is verrry small! not useful in any fire pit I can imagine!
